A Valentine Dinner
Valentine’s Day is a day to remember,
why your mother I do not dismember.
Even though she is often deserving,
thanks to the garbage she always is serving.
Many chickens have met a dry, dismal result,
often without any seasoning or salt.
How many steaks has your mother burned,
when from the grill she has distractedly turned?
Maybe poor cooking isn’t a punishable crime.
That’s just because cops don’t have the time.
Though this Valentine’s meal I’ll never digest.
I’ll wait till tomorrow for my citizen’s arrest.

The author did a good job making this poem come out funny. Just becareful when you give it to your wife. She may throw something at you. Maybe even the dinner that is mentioned in the poem.
So if your wife cooks you a truly beautiful dinner for Valentines Day, maybe you should not give her this exact poem. You don't want to end up in the dog house. Nobody does.
Unless you give her a very romantic poem first, followed by this poem. So the romantic one may distract her and won't find this one offensive. The choice is yours, just don't blame it on me afterwards.
You could always try to share this one with your mother-in-law. You're probably thinking that I'm crazy. Maybe you're right. But I think that I will share it with her. I will place it in a nice red envelope and mail it to her. Except I won't put my name. I will write my brother-in-laws wife's name. And than I will just observe how the prank evolves. This is going to be interesting. I never thought sending valentines day funny poems could be so fun.
