Christmas Tree
My Christmas tree is decked with kittens.
Not the ones who lost their mittens,
but the ones who climbed up there
after rejecting "truth" and choosing "dare."
Twas the dog who challenged them to the climb.
He is the perpetrator of this crime.
I don’t know what my mom will say.
As Christmas shopping she’s been away.
Broken ornaments are scattered round
‘cause kittens aren’t stable off the ground.
Now one is perched at the very top.
But to the floor the rest did flop.

So there's broken ornaments everywhere, with one kitten still at the very top. I can picture the mess. Talking about christmas trees, last year we had a very interesting episode with our tree.
First of all, the tree was huge. Not only was it tall but it was also very fat and full. I spent an entire Saturday in December looking for the perfect tree. It was beautiful. But we didn't take it down until February - big mistake!
As a result, it dried up, and it was a mission and a half to take out. It didn't want to fit through any door. The mess that was created was legendary. So next year, we will probaby go with a smaller tree and take it down right after Christmas.
