Funny Valentines Poems
Right now if I had to choose from all the funny valentines poems on this site, I would probably choose "Stay In", as my first pick.
Stay In
Was Valentine’s Day invented by Hallmark?
Or is its celebration really love’s benchmark?
What is it that cards and candy can say,
that shouldn’t be expressed everyday?
I’m not questioning this ‘cause I’m broke,
though it’s true my balance is a simple joke.
You know I would love to wine and dine,
but I’m afraid my credit will decline.
A boycott of the day in protest,
is the action I would like to suggest.
Instead of going out to spend money,
we can stay in and dine on baloney.

There's nothing wrong with dining in on Valentine's Day. Personally, I prefer dining in on this day. Simply because all the restaurants are super busy and packed. So if you don't have reservations, it will be tough to find an empty table.
Even if you did make reservations a week prior to Valentines, there's a good chance that the service will be very slow. So don't be surprised if you have to wait over an hour to get your food.
What about the food itself. Will it be the same quality and properly cooked. You have to becareful there. The rush to serve so many people may decrease the quality. Unless of course you know a very reliable restaurant that always has great food, no matter how busy it is.
Personally, I don't exactly want to spend my Valentine's Day hungry waiting for my food. Last year I bought my wife beautiful flowers the week before Valentine's Day. You may call me cheap, but I call this "Strategic". I spent $50 on a beautiful bouquet that consisted of her favorite flowers (orchids). She loved it. The exact same bouquet would have cost me over $100 on Valentine's Day.
Angela inspired me with the above poem. So I'm gonna go now and try to write a few personalized funny valentines poems for my wonderful wife. Cheers!
