Nerdy Love
I love you even though we have braces.
I love you despite our pimply faces.
Sure, when we kiss our orthodontics get caught,
but so much more to my heart you have brought.
I love you even though you’re a nerd.
And by my bad breath, you are never deterred.
We may be the butts of everyone’s jokes,
but I know we’re happier than all of those folks.
You are my first love, though probably not my last.
Regardless, I’m confident it won’t be surpassed.
We’re sharing together the best years of our lives.
For the future our love will always survive.

Is that a good description of nerdy love? In any case, love is love. We all crave it, and when we have it, we are super happy and grateful. I also believe that everyone deserves to be loved.
I must say that I am a bit of a nerd myself, and I am very proud. I am very proud of my growing collection of books, that have filled my home office. I am also proud of coding this site. The hardcore nerds are probably thinking, it's just html and css, no big deal. Well don't worry, I'm on my way to php.
Now that you are completely confused, let's talk about love. Specifically teen love. Poetry, I think is a great little way to express yourself or the love that you have for someone, whether you are a teenager or not. Teenagers are often shy (I know I was). So that's where love poetry comes to the rescue. And if it's funny, that's even better sometimes. It can be a great way to break the ice. I'm not saying you should proclaim your love for someone you barely know. But you could always share a "I like you poem" if you are interested in this person. Since this type of poem will not scare them away.
