Prom

I can not believe I have to go
to prom with my own cousin Joe.
But no one else asked me to be
their date for this dance spree.

I have the dress, I have the shoes.
But I wish my date I could refuse.
I suppose it’s better to go with him,
than to walk alone in to that gym.

I’ll dance the night away of course,
even though Joe resembles a horse.
Perhaps he’ll refrain from acting a boob,
if I bribe him with sugar cubes.

I'm sure that Joe was not her first choice. He was the absolute last option. Maybe her real date got sick or something. Don't worry who you go to the prom with. Everyone will forget about it the following week.


But I recommend that, no matter who you end up going with, just make sure you have fun, lots of fun. Even if your date is not the dancing type and doesn't want to dance. Don't worry about. Just go dance without him or with someone else. Hey that's a great opportunity to make someone's girlfriend jealous, by dancing with her boyfriend.

You probably heard this a million times, but I will repeat it one more time. Whatever you do - do not drink and drive or get ride with anyone who has been drinking. It's just not worth the risk. It's safer getting a cab or even walking home bear foot. You don't want to end up as another statistic. There's enough of that already.
