Funny Mom Poems
It doesn't have to be mothers day for you to share some really funny mom poems with your special mom. You should surprise her with the poem below on a normal weekday.
Sunday Dinners
Just another Sunday with one of mom’s roast chickens.
As I chew and try to swallow, I feel my stomach sicken.
Chicken should be juicy, not as dry as wood.
To avoid eating this I’d do whatever I could.
Maybe we shouldn’t have told her the lies for so long?
We were trying to be nice, who’d have thought it so wrong?
Every year we have given her dozens of books,
but still the poor woman has not learned to cook.
I’m going to tell my mom the truth about her Sunday dinners.
Even though to do so makes me feel like a sinner.
I expect she will cry and she surely will shout.
But in the end we’ll all be happier with Chinese take-out.

Just make sure that your mom has a good sense of humor and won't get offended by that poem. Ok so maybe that poem does not relate to your mom specifically. Maybe your mom is an excellent cook. If that's the case, than you will have to use another mom poem.
However, if you are like the rest of us, and have been faking during Sunday dinners or arriving extra late, and saying that you've already ate. Than maybe this poem is right for your mom.
Honestly, I don't blame those moms out there that are not very good at cooking. Because society has assumed that all moms must be good cooks and that it is their responsibility and therefore they must like it. But not everyone likes to cook. Including moms. If a mom doesn't enjoy cooking, than you can't expect her to be good at it.
You can't force someone to be good at something. We all have our strengths and weaknesses. So instead of worrying about our weaknesses, we should embrace and nourish our strengths. What I'm trying to say is, if mom doesn't like to cook, than maybe someone else should be doing the cooking, like YOU!
