Funny Graduation Poems
"Done!" is the first poem on the funny graduation poems page. It talks about graduating from high school.
Done!
Congratulations! You’re done with high school.
No more daily dealings with bullies so cruel.
No more all-nighters and term paper afflictions,
You can finally kick your "No Doze" addiction.
What on Earth will you do with your time,
now that you’re finally entering your prime?
Will you miss the wedgies and swirlies?
At least you won’t have to get up early!
My advice to you, graduate, is very simple.
On the butt cheeks of life, you are just a pimple.
The future’s confusing, that I confess.
But I’m confident you’ll find success.

Graduating from high school is obviously a very important chapter in anyones life. This is the point at which many of us choose our own paths and go in countless directions.
Many of us at this stage in life are very confused and not sure what to do next. From my experiences, I would recommend to anyone graduating high school to follow their passions. Whatever they may be, and do not let anyone discourage you from doing so.
What is comes down to is - you have to do what you enjoy. So if you like designing than go in that direction, if you like numbers, than make sure you are surrounded by numbers. I learned that if a person follows their true passions, than this persons life will be so much more enjoyable. Getting up each morning will be exciting. There will always be plenty of internal motivation if you enjoy what you are doing.
That's one big reason why I changed my careers not too long ago. I was working in a lab as a microbiologist for a major pharmaceutical company. After three years, I needed a change, I needed to challenge myself in a different field. The truth is, I evolved a new passion over the past few years for web development and online marketing. This new passion was burning inside of me more and more each day. It was taking over any desire to remain in the sciences and further my pharma career.
It got to the point where I had to leave almost right away, because this passion for web development and marketing was just so strong. It was exactly 3 months ago that I walked into my bosses office and told him that I need to leave ASAP. A month later it was my last day. Looking back at it right now, it was one of the best decisions that I have ever made. The decision was very easy to make. Because I listend to that burning desire from within.
