Lie Ahead
Congratulations on your college graduation.
You’ve certainly earned a standing ovation.
It may feel like time to sit back and eat scones,
but you best get to work paying off student loans.
If you are like most, you probably owe bunches.
To make all the payments you may need to skip lunches.
But don’t dwell on the hardships that lie ahead,
or you’ll spend this happy day seeing red.
There’s plenty of time to pay off your debts,
though I would not advise the making of bets.
You got yourself this far and of this I’m sure,
through the good and the bad you’ll endure.

Attending college is a wonderful time in a young adults life. You learn many things both inside and outside the classroom. Many unique relationships are often developed during this time that often last a lifetime.
I recall my college days, and I must say, it was a great experience. Personally, I think I learned more from the interactions and friendships that I developed than any lecture that I attended. I learned how to compromise, and work in a team environment. This was critical, since assignments and exams were a constant part of my life.
What I am trying to say, is that collaboration is essential to my success. Today, I use these skills on a daily basis. They are more valuable to me than any technical or scientific knowlege that I may have acquired.
