Christmas Together
Jingling Christmas bells,
that darn dog sure smells
from what he’s been rolling in.
Perhaps put him out again?
The turkey is burned
because mom never learned
the importance of defrosting it first.
Maybe our kitchen is cursed?
At least we’re all together
despite the frigid weather
Around the Christmas tree we’ll sing,
our spirits soar as if on wings.

Have you ever thought of including a funny christmas poem in a christmas card? I think it's a unique way to put a smile on someone's face. Just make sure you choose a funny poem that will suit the persons sense of humor. Otherwise, you make get a weird look in return. Well, you never know, you gotta try.
You may also need to remind the person you give the card with the poem to "read the card". A lot of us just go straight to the presents, and toss the cards to the side. I learned that by including poems in cards, family and friends not only enjoy reading them, but they also expect it in the future. So they don't toss my greeting cards to the side anymore, they actually anxiously open them and read them aloud.
