Funny Children Poems

The funny children poems on these pages were written to make all the wonderful kids out there laugh out loud.

Six

Today you are six years old.
Put on a sweater or you’ll catch a cold.
I don’t care that it’s eighty outside.
Under your bed, no monsters will hide.

Yesterday, you were still five.
In ten more years, I’ll teach you to drive.
About the time you’ll no longer think
that girls have cooties and really stink.

On this day I hope you have fun.
Though you didn’t get an electron gun.
I wasn’t sure, what you’d do with it,
except make your brother’s pants split.

Did you like that poem? The first line mentions that the child is six. This number can be changed to any age ou wish. Well, technically it should only go up to twelve. But some of us remain kids for a very long time. So if you know someone that is 50 and still acts like a kid. Than maybe this poem is perfect for this person.

I remember my childhood. It was so much fun. There was no worry in the world. All I had to do is quickly do my homework after school and than I would go outside and play with my friends until it got dark. Those were the days. That's why a childhood is really special and precious. As parents, we need to do everything we can to make sure that our kids have a great childhood with many memorable memories and stories.

Personally, I think sharing funny children poems with your kids is a unique way to get them interested in poetry. Instead of confusing or boring them with Shakespeare, read some rhyming funny ones to them that will make them laugh. I think it's also a good idea to encourage them to write their own poetry. This will result in a sense of accomplishment and pride in their work.
