Crying
My wedding and my mother is crying.
She’s blubbering like someone is dying.
Before she was excited for the day,
she’d finally be allowed to give me away.
But here she is a tear in her eyes.
You can imagine my surprise.
I thought that she was glad to be rid,
of her last remaining kid.
"Why are you crying, Mom," I ask.
Is this day such a disagreeable task?
But she wasn’t crying about losing me,
Her tears were purely of glee.

That poem represents something that is very common at weddings. I'm talking about tears. There are plenty of tears to go around. You will find them at the ceremony, and the reception during speeches. But just like the above poem states, these tears are usually of glee and happiness.
Weddings are not only emotional for the couple to be wed but also for the parents of the bride and groom. Since they are giving away their daughter or son, so it's a new transition in many peoples lives.
On my wedding video you can see my mom shedding some tears during the ceremony at church. This clip seems a bit funny because it's in slow motion so it looks like an intro to a soap opera. We laugh everytime we watch it.
I recall, I had to try very hard to hold back my tears during the exchaning of our vows. My voice was changing as a result and so was that of my lovely wifes.
