Free Funny Retirement Poem

Here's a free funny retirement poem that will put a smile on your colleauge or friend who is entering another wonderful stage in his or her life.

Now That You’re Leaving

Now that you’re leaving, can I have your cube?
I hope that my asking doesn’t make me a boob.
Your cube is really much nicer than mine.
But you know me, I don’t whine.

Now that you’re leaving, can I have your parking spot?
Yours is so much closer than the one that I have got.
I have coveted it forever, though silently it’s true.
I’m certain that you never had a clue.

Now that you’re leaving, can I have your computer?
I hope you don’t think that I’m acting like a looter.
My PC is slow and takes an hour or more to boot.
But happy retirement, here is some fruit.

I'm sure that the above poem will make most people laugh. The happy retirement part is just one line and is left till the end. While the remaining poem talks about inheriting a parking spot, a cubicle, and a faster computer.

For some of us retirement may seem very far off into the future. But when I talk to those that have already retired or will be very soon, they all tell me that the time just went by really fast.

I guess it's difficult to know how you will feel until you experience it. In my opinion, retirement should be a very joyous time. There should be a sense of pride for all those years of hard work. Now it's time to relax and do all those things there was no time for in the past. Such as travel more, and take those cooking classes you always wanted to take.

There are countless things a person can do once they retire. Especially these days with life expectancy go up each year. The average person can expect another 25 quality years after they retire. Some people even begin training for marathons when they retire. Now that's what I call amazing.

I hope you enjoyed the free funny retirement poem.
